The Silver King Project, Inc.
Effective Date: August 28, 2026
The Silver King Project, Inc. ("SKP," "we," "us," or "our") is a Delaware nonprofit corporation and a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you visit silverkingproject.org (the "Site") or make a donation to us.
We collect only what we need to process donations, recognize our donors, and communicate with supporters. We do not sell personal information.
When you make a one-time or recurring donation through the Site, we collect:
Payment card and bank account information is collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"). SKP does not receive, store, or transmit your full payment card number or bank account credentials. If you establish a recurring donation, Stripe stores your payment credentials in order to process future scheduled charges. Stripe's handling of your information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
SKP does not operate a donor database. The donor information described above is stored in Stripe as transaction and customer records, and a copy is delivered to our organizational email inbox by way of the donation notifications we receive. Our public donor recognition list is updated manually by SKP; there is no automated transfer of donor information to our website.
SKP does not use analytics or advertising trackers, and our own code does not set cookies. The following automatic collection occurs by virtue of how the Site is built:
We use the information we collect to:
We do not currently operate a marketing email program. If we begin sending donor updates or other non-transactional email, those communications will include a means to opt out.
Donors who give during our founding period may be listed publicly on our Founding Sponsors page. We list only the name or display name a donor provides at the time of the gift. If a donor selects the option to be recognized anonymously, that donor is listed as "Anonymous" and is not identified by name. Donation amounts are not published alongside individual donor names.
If you wish to change how you are recognized, or to be removed from public recognition, contact us at the address below and we will accommodate your request.
We share information with third-party service providers who perform functions on our behalf. These providers are permitted to use information only as necessary to provide services to us. Our principal service providers are:
As the organization grows, we expect to engage a bookkeeper and an accountant for annual Form 990 preparation, who will require access to donation records in order to perform those services.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We disclose information only:
As a tax-exempt organization, SKP files an annual information return (Form 990, 990-EZ, or 990-N) with the Internal Revenue Service. These returns are subject to public disclosure. Substantial contributors may be identified to the IRS on non-public schedules as required by law.
We retain donation records for as long as necessary to satisfy our recordkeeping, accounting, and tax obligations as a tax-exempt organization, and for so long thereafter as is reasonably necessary for donor stewardship.
Information held by Stripe, Resend, Netlify, and Google is retained in accordance with those providers' own retention policies and our account settings with them, rather than by SKP directly.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. Payment credentials are handled by Stripe and are not stored on our systems. Access to donor records is limited to authorized personnel.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or from the Site.

The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy on the Site and revise the Effective Date above.
